As you say goodbye to your beloved friend, know that we are here for you every step of the way. This may include helping you to find different ways to remember your pet. There are many ways that our furry friends can remain in our hearts and memories.
Some families will choose to plant a tree or make a donation to a charity in their pets memory. Some people will commission custom artwork or display a favourite photo of their pet and some will choose a personalized tattoo.
There are a few things we can provide you with directly at the time of your appointment, like fur clippings or creating a paw print in clay or foam. The clay paw print can be customized in colour and design through PearTree and the PawPal foam paw print can have a photo inserted into its case. There is an extra cost associated with the paw prints and we are happy to provide more details if you have any questions.
We also have access to a wonderful artist, Soulstra, from the East Kootenays who will create a custom piece of glass (bead/keychain/ornament/sun catcher) from your pets fur or ashes.
For some pictures speak a thousand words and a photography session can capture precious moments with our furry friends. A wonderful local photographer, Leah Nansel (Flint & Flame Photography), is offering pet sessions.
No matter how you choose to remember your friends, talking about them and sharing memories can begin the healing process.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you are interested in any of the mentioned possibilities of ways to remember your friend and we would be happy to go over them in more detail.
